What is computer embroidery?
Computer embroidery, a technique for decorating textiles, has its roots in hand embroidery, which has been known since ancient times. Already in 1828, in connection with industrialisation, this method was mechanised, which made it possible to carry out all kinds of fabric marking much more quickly and cheaply. Computer emb roidery is characterised by the extreme precision of its designs and the high aesthetic quality of its decorations. It is very resistant to the negative impact of frequent washing of clothes, and colours remain stable for a very long time, which means that it is often used in the production of workwear, which is more susceptible to damage and requires more frequent washing than everyday clothes. Thanks to access to developed technologies, the computer embroidery method has virtually no limitations in terms of the potentially applied designs.

We can choose or design the pattern we want to sew onto our material ourselves, or equally well, use the help of qualified graphic designers, often employed by embroidery companies, to obtain the desired effect where the limit may only be our imagination. After the stage of vectorisation of our graphics, which constitutes the design of the embroidery, the decoration is ready to be applied to the garment. The files prepared in this way can be reproduced on fabrics, preserving all the details, even small ones. A wide range of threads of different thicknesses, textures or rich colours will allow us to match the finishing exactly to the vision of our project. Personalisation of our own garments or other fabrics that we use is also becoming increasingly popular. Computer embroidery can help you decorate t-shirts, caps, bags or even blankets and tablecloths.

Advantages and disadvantages of computer embroidery
Computer embroidery is the most durable method of decoration. We do not have to worry about cracking or tearing and we can iron the embroidered elements freely.
Advantages of computer embroidery:
- durability
- elegant and effective decorations
- low prices for large quantities
- large selection of threads (wide range of colours, thicknesses, also special-purpose threads such as fire-resistant threads are available)
Disadvantages of computer embroidery:
- the fabrics to which embroidery is to be applied must be sufficiently strong and thick
- the price for small runs increases
- a good end result requires a good design
Computer embroidery - application and operation
The application of computer embroidery is actually an unlimited topic. The above-mentioned personalisation of one's own wardrobe is one of many methods in which one can show off one's creativity and imagination, presenting oneself later in original garments that will bring much satisfaction. Many items of home décor such as tablecloths, napkins, plaids or blankets can also be given new life thanks to this technique or transformed from plain, simple pieces into chic details that match the conventions of home décor. Thanks to the durability of embroidered markings, many companies (including SpiroPrint) producing professional workwear with logos are now using computer embroidery to ensure that garments worn in harsh conditions retain their markings such as company logos.
Computer embroideryis also widely used in clothing for the uniformed services, where distinctions, badges or even Velcro-fastened names or functions are embroidered. Computer embroidery is also very useful in the production of various advertising items such as clothing or accessories. In our shop, for example, you will find embroidered company polos. Many factors influence the price of embroidery, such as the type, size or design of the embroidery, but how much computer embroidery costs is dictated mainly by the circulation. With large quantities of materials we mark, the price of one piece varies even within a few zlotys, making the method very cost-effective. The durability of the stitching and the expansion of the capabilities of the embroidery machines mean that, regardless of the number of designs and the price, customers are increasingly opting for this procedure.
